Our first overnight excursion was along the coast in the town of Bei Dai He where we saw the point where the great wall meets the ocean.

One night we went to see Beijing Opera. Their voices and acrobatics were as eccentric and impressive as their costumes.

One day Kurt took us to a Catholic church in Beijing, They offer masses in English, Chinese and Latin.
The Cross is easily visible from the street and is a good reminder of all the mission work that has been poured into the country over hundreds of years.
